Its called a digilink license, and the driver is $1899!!! That driver must be registered to your Avid account and it is not transferrable. If you buy one used, you have to buy a license in order to activate the driver. Right? Avid used to sell these fucking things for $8000, now they cost $3000 yet they’re no more powerful than your cellphone. So the idea is that you wanna make it a bitch to try and buy a used Avid HDX card.
